During our riding in the field they were submerged in water totally. They do seem to be a good fit, nice and snug so Im chalking it up to the fact that it was raining and pretty wet out. Not enough to hinder the use but I do sort of wonder why. I only rode for maybe 45 mins, didn't want to over do it his first time out and also it was raining pretty hard.ĭid mostly walking on the road but we did do some trotting in a pretty muddy field and the boots stayed on just fine.Īt the end of the ride when i dismounted I did notice however that the boots were both turned just slightly to my right. At first he did pick his feet up a little higher then he usually does but soon stopped as hes pretty lazy in general and all but drags his feet when walking.

Once they were on I did hand walk him a bit just to see how he would react. The velcro seems very strong, not your standard stuff.

I had to knock on them just a little bit before they fell into place. They were very easy to put on, they go on toe first then the heel. I bought them at Valley Vet and paid $105 for a pair, a bit cheaper then easy boots actual site. They were easy to measure for, I did it the day after a fresh trim/when he had his shoes removed.

I wanted something that was easy to put on, somewhat durable, and inexpensive and the trails diffidently fit the bill. I decided to go with the easy boot trails after alot of research. He is my only horse that was/is shod, everyone else is barefoot already. I had my geldings front shoes removed about 3 weeks ago, he had been shod for his whole life pretty much, 12 years. Just got back from my first ride with my new East Boot Trails.
